Hi there, my name is Woody! I’ve been in SEPRA’s care since June 2009 and I’m being fostered in Gainesville, FL. I used to live with 4 other big dogs that didn’t like me very much; they would gang up on me and that caused me to have eye injuries. Because of those past injuries, my left eye had to be removed and my right eye was so damaged that I can’t see out of it, so I’m completely blind. I do need eye drops for my eye, just to keep it healthy and comfortable for me. I’ll need those for the rest of my life (good thing they’re not very expensive!). But don’t think that gets me down. I have done great learning my way around my new foster home. I still will bump into things, but I’ve quickly learned where the back door is, where the water dish is, where my crate is, and where we chill out on the sofa at night. I also follow my foster mom everywhere in the house and love to sit on the sofa with her and “listen” to the TV! Speaking of my ears, I do have a history of ear infections and I am currently being treated for that right now. So my forever family will need to know that and stay on top of my ears.

Here are some of the great things about me. I’m 8 years old, I’m UTD on my vaccines, I’m neutered, and I’m housetrained. I love to play with stuffed, squeaky toys and I love to chew on nylabones! Another one of my favorite things to do is go for walks! I LOVE to go for walks. I get out on the open road and my foster mom says I really get trucking along! She thinks I like walks so much because I can walk and walk without bumping into things. And of course, I really LOVE my humans. My foster mom says I’m just a big (25 lb) teddy bear of a pug. I love to give kisses, cuddle, and have belly rubs. I am REALLY, REALLY submissive. I’ll need a forever home that does NOT have aggressive small dogs. With me being blind and so submissive, I’m really vulnerable to aggression. It would also be great if my forever family has a fenced in backyard, because I love to explore around my current backyard.
