Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization serving Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland (we do not accept surrenders outside of the stated areas).

If you have found a lost/stray dog:
Please contact your local animal shelters and veterinarians offices prior to contacting Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue. Quite often, owners of lost pets have contacted these agencies looking for their pets.  Additionally, shelters and veterinarians can scan the pet to see if it is microchipped and possibly reunite it with its owner. We will happily accept found pugs once preliminary efforts to find the owner have failed.

To surrender your pug to Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue please complete the form below.  Our intake team will review the form and will be in contact with you to gather additional information and provide an update on the steps to complete the surrender.

CERTIFICATION

It may take up to 48 hours for a volunteer to contact you. Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue is staffed exclusively by volunteers, most of whom have other full-time jobs. Every effort is made to transition dogs into foster care as quickly as possible, but we ask your patience and flexibility as we work to make suitable arrangements for the dog. In order to minimize the impact of the transition on the dog, we ask you to surrender all the dog’s belongings (bedding, toys, crate, leash, food, medicines, food, etc.). Vet records are also essential in ensuring that the dog receives proper medical care. Please make arrangements to have copies of these records from your vet faxed to us at 866.923.8432 and additional copies are given to the PPSNR volunteer when he/she meets you to pick up the dog. *Please be aware that upon surrendering the dog, you have granted Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue legal ownership of the dog. Once a dog is surrendered to Philly Pug & Short Nose Rescue, it cannot and will not be returned.
