Luna is the rescue’s first Boston Terrier. She is approximately 12 years old. She is so feisty, energetic and is very sweet too. Yesterday Luna’s foster parents saw that her eye was red and irritated. We got Luna to see the vet this morning and we were told to get her seen by an eye specialist right away.
We took Luna to CARES in Langhorne, PA. We learned that her left eye’s lens is dislocated and she will need surgery to repair this. The surgery is 85% successful in maintaining Luna’s vision. Luna was sent home with a steroid eye lubricant and eye drops as well. From what we learned, this is pretty common with Boston Terriers.
Monday, December 8th at 9:15am, we will be meeting with Dr. Martha Low at CARES in Langhorne, PA for a check up, eye pressure check and to make arrangements for Luna’s eye surgery. We are hoping that Luna will be able to have her eye surgery on Monday.
The estimated cost of her surgery is between $3,000.00 to $3,400.00.
We were told that Luna is not in any pain or discomfort. We are doing everything we can to keep her comfortable, but we need your help.
If you could please find it in your heart to donate to help us with Luna’s medical care, we would be forever grateful. No donation is too big or too small, it all adds up and will help us continue with our mission to save lives.
