Maggie

Please welcome Miss Maggie to the PPSNR Family! The beautiful little lady is about 2 years old, she is spayed & is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She will be seeing our vet just for a check up.

We don’t know much about this beautiful baby girl. She is very sweet, friendly, gets along great with other pugs. She is a little underweight, which is another reason she’ll be seeing the vet soon.

You can help PPSNR with Diamond’s medical expenses by becoming a Virtual Foster below.

UPDATE JUNE 13, 2017 ~ As I type this update, Maggie is getting ready for major surgery. It was discovered that Maggie has a hiatal hernia & this is preventing her from breathing normally.

The surgeons won’t know how bad it is until she is on the operating table.

UPDATE – JUNE 15, 2017 – Maggie came through surgery and is recovering nicely.

It turns out that she was working so hard to breathe that her stomach was pulled past her diaphragm.  This is a very unusual situation.  There is no guarantee that this situation will not reoccur.

UPDATE – JULY 22.  2017 – Maggie continues to have breathing issues.  Lots of noise when she breathes, especially when she gets excited.  Her foster mom took her back to VSEC for further evaluation.  Under lite sedation, the doctors at VSEC did a detailed view of her throat.  She was diagnosed with a grade 2 (of 3) collapsing larynx.  This is the same condition that Casey Jones (another one of our Angels).  After much discussion by the board of directors and a couple approved applicants about her condition, it was decided that it would be best if Maggie would join our Angel program.

UPDATE – July 27, 2017 – PPSNR is going to try some alternative medicine to try and improve Maggie’s breathing and give her the best quality of life PPSNR can provide.

Please become a virtual foster for Maggie.  Your assistance with her on going medical costs is greatly appreciated.
